can we say bad timing?

It was a regular Thursday, my hubby went to the gym, I had my rehab. All was well.

I was chatting with my hubby online, when he tells me that he has a company meeting. Alright, no big deal, he has those all the time. Well, then I started noticing that he logged off without saying "brb" and then his co-workers logging off. I thought they were having internet issues. It happens occasionally.

Then, at around 12:30 pm, I get a call from my hubby. Usually, he doesn't call me, since we chat online, unless there's something up. The first thing he says is, "I have really good news, well bad news, but I think it's good news." Initially, I thought he was going to tell me he got a raise, but not a great one. He was up for his review and he just got a gift from the company for working there for 5 years. However, was I in for the shock of my life. He told me that he just got laid off, not only him, but his entire company. I couldn't believe it, I never would have thought he would ever be out of a job. A wave of worry washes over me. I had so many questions but he kept reassuring me not to worry, that we'll be okay. Surprisingly, he took it better than I thought he would.

I will try my best not to worry, but I cannot guarantee that will happen, I am a worry-wart.
