Starting a family
It was a little over four years ago where we had a pregnancy scare. It turned out to be negative but it made us think maybe we were ready for that next step in our lives, to become parents. This was also the year the hubs was laid off and I had a slew of hospital visits. To start with, I had a few ulcers, then arthroscopic scope of the left knee and finally removal of a cyst from my right ovary, where they found I had severe endometriosis. Not the greatest of years but we forged ahead. After a year of so trying without success, we decided to up the ante a bit by trying Clomid, recommended by my OB/GYN, of course. If you don't know what Clomid is, here's the definition in short, it helps you produce more eggs with gives you a higher success rate. Here's the wiki definition. So we gave it a shot, hoping for the best. However, after a few unsuccessful tries, I was referred to a doctor that specialized in infertility. It's funny, growing up, your parents always tell you, "Don't have sex or you'll get pregnant." I guess it wasn't that easy for us.
