Adoption
From the beginning, we always discussed the possibility of adopting. It was never out of the question, we just wanted one with our own DNA first. After four years of intense trying and heartache, we've decided to move forward with adoption. There has to be a reason why I haven't become pregnant after four years of trying. I'm not going to lie, having RA is not the easiest thing in the world. Though some studies show people who are pregnant with RA go into remission, but not everyone does and there isn't any strong medication you can take if you were pregnant to ease the pain of RA. That could be one of the main reasons God has chosen a different path for us to take. God does works in mysterious ways.
Getting to this place, however, has not been easy for me. I've always grown up thinking, "I'm going to be pregnant and have babies and be this awesome mom." That pictures has changed a bit. I'm still going to have babies and be an awesome mom, it'll just be to a baby that needs more love than anyone else could give it. And you know what, I can't wait to meet our future baby.
